All roles are open.
Roles are usually double cast where appropriate.

Please be advised, there is no pay to perform roles.
OMRT works to ensure that singers are learning and performing debut roles
to enable them to be prepared for future engagements.

Opera Manhattan Repertory Theatre's mission
is to provide singers a nurturing environment and to supply numerous
opportunities for all artists to learn, develop and prepare for a career in opera.

Candidates who have had previous professional experience singing full roles
and are ready to embark upon a professional career will be considered for participation
in the Emerging Artists Program. Younger singers needing to gain stage experience
will be candidates for the Artist Development Program.

OMRT does not charge any fees to participate
in the Emerging Artists and Artist Development Program.
It is usually impractical for those living far away from the New York area to participate
as OMRT cannot provide living accommodations nor travel reimbursements.
