Sina Lewis (Lyric Mezzo-Soprano)  began her
musical journey at age seven when she was enrolled in piano,
ballet, tap and violin lessons.  Soon she was performing in
recitals and musical theatre productions around town.  At age
sixteen, she was completely devoted to study classical piano in
college. Miss Lewis also pursued a career in Musical Theatre
landing jobs in regional and summer stock theatres.  She has
appeared in musicals including
Chicago, Sweet Charity, and
West Side Story.

Miss Lewis turned her focus to classical singing while pursuing a
Master’s degree in piano. Upon graduation she made her New
York City Opera debut in the New York City premiere of
Margaret Garner. She also had the opportunity to travel to
Verbier, Switzerland to perform at the Verbier Music Festival with
the Collegiate Chorale (Summer 2007).  Recent and upcoming
engagements include; the Opera for Humanity production of
Lucia di Lammermoor presented at Symphony Space (October
2008) a Concert of Song at Sloan-Kettering Hospital (January
2009) and Belcanto Evening presented by Manhattan Chamber
Opera (February 2009).

This season Ms. Lewis can be seen in Chelsea Opera's
production of
Suor Angelica and singing the role of Flora in La
Traviata
with OMRT.
