Robert Hughes (Tenor) a native of Houston, TX holds
degrees from the University of St. Thomas (BA) and the
Conservatory of Music at theUniversity of Missouri Kansas City

concert, Robert recently performed a concert of Spirituals in
tribute to Martin Luther King in Kansas City and earlier this year a
concert of music by composer Tobias Picker with Dicapo Opera
Theatre.  Mr. Hughes has performed with Dicapo Opera
(Resident Artist), The Little Opera Company of New York, Long
Leaf Opera, Opera in the Heights, Houston Ebony Opera Guild,
Civic Opera Theatre of Kansas City, the Opera Company of
Brooklyn (Resident Artist,) Mostly Mozart Festival, Lincoln Center
Festival and the Caramoor Festival.  He has performed in such
renowned musical institutions as Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall,
Alice Tully Hall, Jazz at Lincoln Center, and the New York
State Theatre and the Metropolitan Opera (Extra Chorus.)   

For the 2008-2009 Season, Mr. Hughes will be singing the role of
Don Ottavio in
Don Giovanni and Alfredo in La Traviata, both with
Opera Manhattan Repertory Theatre.
