Lynn Spurgat (Soprano) Described by critics as “a force of
nature”, busy soprano Lynn Spurgat was recently seen as the title role
in Bellini’s
Norma here in New York City.  New York audiences have
also delighted in her performances of Anna Bolena in Donizetti's
Anna
Bolena
, Donna Anna in Mozart's Don Giovanni, and Richard Strauss
heroines Ariadne in
Ariadne auf Naxos, Chrysothemis in Elektra and
the Marschallin in
Der Rosenkavalier. In Montecarlo, Italy, she brought
her dynamic abilities to the title role of Clementina in Bocherinni’s
La
Clementina
.

Previous operatic roles include the title role of
Suor Angelica in both
Italy and New York City, First Lady in
Die Zauberflöte at the prestigious
International Holder’s Festival in Barbados and Fiordiligi in
Cosi fan
tutte
in Los Angeles and Bay View, Michigan.  Her other roles have
included La Princesse in L’Enfant et les Sortileges, Amelia in
Amelia
Goes to the Ball
, and Carolina in Il Matrimonio Segreto.  Lynn also
spent two years employed as a company member with the Los
Angeles Music Center Opera.

This season with Opera Manhattan, Ms. Spurgat sings the role of Donna
Anna in
Don Giovanni.
