Kristin Vogel (Soprano) a native of Houston, Texas, has
appeared with companies across the United States.  Most recently she
was an Apprentice Artist in the James M. Collier Program at Des
Moines Metro Opera, where she sang scenes as Musetta, Lisette in
La
Rondine
, Leila in The Pearl Fishers, Fiordiligi, and Freia in Das
Rheingold
.

Last season she appeared with Eugene Opera as the First Lady in their
new production of
The Magic Flute and also covered Pamina.  She
had previously sung the role of Edith and covered Mabel in their
Pirates of Penzance.  She also appeared as Cecile De Volanges in
the New York Premiere of Conrad Susa's
The Dangerous Liaisons in
February of 2008 with Dicapo Opera Theater, where she was a
Resident Artist from 2006-2008 and was also featured as Suor
Genovieffa in
Suor Angelica, and as Frasquita in an outreach
production of
Carmen.

As an artist, Ms. Vogel is known for her intensity onstage, her work
ethic, and her congeniality.  She believes in making the timeless
messages of classic operas resonate with modern audiences through
musical and dramatic intensity, and is committed to the advancement
of contemporary works.

Additional New York credits include the title role of Gilbert and
Sullivan’s
Princess Ida and  Valencienne in The Merry Widow with The
Village Light Opera Group and Frasquita with Opera Company of
Brooklyn.

This season with Opera Manhattan, Ms. Vogel sings the role of Donna
Elvira in
Don Giovanni.
