

Kristen Lamb (Mezzo-Soprano & Certified Yoga
Instructor) as a singer, Ms. Lamb graduated from North Carolina
School of the Arts where she appeared in many productions with the
Fletcher Opera Institute and as a concert soloist, including several
world premieres. Ms. Lamb toured Emilia-Romagna, Italy as part of
Centro Studi Lirica, and received acclaim for her role in Amadeus
Opern Ensemble’s production of Le Nozze di Figaro in Salzburg,
Austria. She is currently a resident artist at Dicapo Opera in New York,
where she most recently appeared as Tisbe in Cenerentola..
Ms. Lamb's Yoga credit's include receiving both her 200 and 500 hour
teacher training certifications from YogaWorks NYC under the
mentorship of Sarah Bell, and is a registered teacher with Yoga
Alliance, as well as teaching in various studios and gyms throughout
New York. Ms. Lamb runs Grow from the Ground with the mission of
making yoga affordable, approachable and beneficial to anyone.
She specializes in teaching yoga to singers and actors as a tool to
connect the body, breath and voice. She also recently helped found
a fitness and wellness program for low income and homeless
individuals at St. John’s Bread and Life in Brooklyn where she holds
weekly classes.
Ms. Lamb will be the yoga instructor for the Not a Fat Opera Singer: The
Transformation challenge with OMRT and MizFit Magazine.
