Kevin Kees (Baritone) is delighted to be making his debut
performing the role of Frosch in Die Fledermaus with Opera Manhattan.
He recently graduated with a Masters Degree in voice from Illinois
State University, and has sung with Opera Fairbanks, Nashville Opera,
Opera Theater of St. Louis, Virginia Opera, Ash Lawn-Highland Opera
Co., Opera North, Opera Illinois, Nashville Opera, and the Lyric Opera
of Chicago in such roles as Figaro (The Barber of Seville) Count
Almaviva (The Marriage of Figaro), Sharpless, Silvio, Schaunard,
Dandini, Papageno, Escamillo, Don Alfonso, Peter (Hansel and Gretel)
and Sam (Trouble in Tahiti), among many others. A native of Chicago,
Illinois, Mr. Kees now resides in New York. He is a long time student of
teacher Carl Lawrenz.
Upcoming roles include Barone Douphol and Marchese d'Obigny in
Opera Manhattan Repertory Theatre's new abridged production of La
Traviata.
