Justin Beck (Baritone) a native of Austin, Texas, made
his operatic debut in
Amahl and the Night Visitors at age 15.  He
became a young artist with Austin Lyric Opera where he sang the
roles of Bello and Happy in
La fanciulla del West, Count Ceprano
and Marullo in Verdi’s
Rigoletto and prepared Wagner in
Gounod’s
Faust.  He spent two seasons with Aspen Music Festival
where he participated in the prestigious Aspen Opera Theater
Center.  Other roles include Sir John Falstaff in Nicolai’s
The Merry
Wives of Windsor
, Colline in Puccini’s La bohème, Sarastro in
Mozart’s
Die Zauberflote, Figaro in Rossini’s Il barbiere di Siviglia,
Sheriff of Police in Gilbert & Sullivan’s
The Pirates of Penzance,
Carl-Magnus in Sondheim’s
A Little Night Music, Dr. Miracle in
Offenbach’s
Les contes d’Hoffmann.  Concert appearances
include Orff’s
Carmina Burana with the Austin Symphony and
Handel’s
Messiah.  Mr. Beck received a performance certificate
from The Julliard School.  

For the 2008-2009 Season, Mr. Beck will sing the roles of
Leporello in
Don Giovanni, Dr. Falke and Frank in Die Fledermaus
all with Opera Manhattan.
