Héctor Palacio (Tenor) Originally from Tabasco, Mexico,
Héctor Palacio is a graduate in Sociology from the National University
of Mexico where he also studied music, voice, and acting.
Professional opera debut in September 1999 with Opera de Bellas
Artes singing the Slave in Salome. Since then he has performed,
among other roles, Tonio in La Fille du Regiment, Edgardo in Lucia di
Lammermoor, Rinuccio in Gianni Schicchi, Fenton in Falstaff, Rodolfo in
La Bohème, Javier in Luisa Fernanda, Don Jose in Carmen and
Hoffmann in Les Contes d'Hoffmann.

Mentored by soprano Martina Arroyo, he has received the
sponsorship of her Foundation, where he has sung the roles of Alfredo
in La Traviata, Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly, and Cavaradossi in
Tosca. Héctor has received the sponsorship as well of SIVAM
(supported by Plácido Domimgo, with whom he had the opportunity to
sing as soloist in the Gala Latina 2001 at Bellas Artes) and Instituto
Nacional de Bellas Artes sponsored by the Mexican Government.

Lately, Héctor appeared as Alfredo and with Regina Opera and Staten
Island Philharmonic, Pollione with Metropolitan Lyric Theater and
Rodolfo with both, Eastern Opera Festival Orchestra and Brooklyn
Summer Opera Orchestra. He made his Japanese debut in November
2007 with the Fujiwara Opera in the role of Pinkerton.
