Darcy Dunn (Mezzo-Soprano) is a versatile
singer/dancer/actress with a strong background in Flamenco dance
and Chinese Kung Fu. The New York Times described her as "alluring
both vocally and dramatically" and, in another review, praised her as
“a highlight of the excellent evening”. While Opera Monthly wrote:
"Charming and entertaining - surely the composer wrote for just such a
voice.”
Ms. Dunn has been featured in performances at Merkin Concert Hall,
Town Hall, LaMama, York Theater, the Thalia at Symphony Space, DR2
Theater, Bouwerie Lane Theater, Goethe House and Guild Hall in East
Hampton. She is best known for her interpretations of contemporary
works. She performs regularly in original shows with her trio “Funny
Valentines”, and is a creator of and performer in the Catskill Mountain
Foundation’s annual “Mountaintop Celebration of Song”, in Hunter, NY.
Ms. Dunn makes her debut sing the role of Siebel and Marthe
Schwerlein in Opera Manhattan's production of Faust this season.
