Courteney Lynn Wilds (Stage Director) Metropolitan
Opera Soprano, Martina Arroyo describes Courteney Lynn Wilds as
possessing a solid, expressive voice capable of many colors and a
talented actress with excellent stage presence and personal
charisma. Her variety of styles, from Mozart to Verdi, shows her
consistent vocal command, musical integrity and dramatic force.
After her operatic debut with Regina Opera as Amelia in
Un Ballo in
Maschera
, The Italian Voice described her as having a round middle
voice, soaring top and a lower extension that would indicate a much
needed Verdi soprano in the making.  Continuing her tenure with
Regina Opera, Ms. Wilds performed the title role in
Tosca also to
critical acclaim.  Her other roles include Leonora from
La Forza del
Destino
, Madame Lidoine from Dialogues des Carmélites, Elisabeth
from
Tannhaüser, Elsa from Lohengrin, The Countess from Le Nozze di
Figaro
, and the title roles from Aida, Manon Lescaut, Vanessa and
Ariadne auf Naxos. She has performed with Regina Opera, Amici
Opera, Hudson Opera Theater and New York City Opera.

Ms. Wilds versatility extends beyond the operatic stage to classical
acting, where she is a member of the Genesis Repertory Ensemble, an
off Broadway Shakespearean theater company. While she has
performed in numerous productions, her most notable performances
were as Kate in scenes from
Taming of the Shrew and as Amelia in
scenes from
Othello.   In August 2009, she will be performing as Mrs.
Dickson in
Intimate Apparel with the Readers’ Ensemble Company in
New York.

As a director, she developed her skills while working as an assistant
director with Regina Opera on their productions of
La Traviata , Il
Trovatore
, Lucia Di Lammermoor  and Faust.  She made her New York
City directorial debut in 2008 when she directed scenes from
Die
Walküre
and Dialogues des Carmélites with The Classical Voice
Company.

Educationally, Ms. Wilds holds a BA in Biology/Pre-Med from
Hampton University and an MBA in Marketing from Rutgers Business
School.  She is a member of the American Guild of Musical Artists
