Opera Manhattan Repertory Theatre, Inc. A Company for Singers by Singers 2009-2010 Season AUDITIONS Emerging Artists Program and the Studio Ensemble Program |
| August 2009. The purpose of these auditions is to identify singers who may be contracted for the 2009-2010 season. Candidates who have had previous professional experience singing full roles and are ready to embark upon a professional career will be considered for participation in the Emerging Artists Program. Candidates for the Studio Ensemble Program will be younger singers needing to gain stage experience. OMRT mounts full productions with orchestra after a careful and detailed music and dramatic preparation period. Because of this, it is usually impractical for those living far away from the New York area to participate. Please be aware that there is no compensation provided for participation in OMRT's programs. However, there is no charge to participate either. All roles are open and it is our policy to double cast in some situations. OMRT hears both managed and unmanaged singers. To request an audition for the EAP or SEP please email a photo, resume and a bio to: operamanhattanauditions@gmail.com There is a $25 audition fee, payable at the door. Due to time constraints, not all applicants will be granted an audition. The application fee will be returned if an audition is not scheduled. A pianist will be provided or you may bring your own. Singers will be contacted as soon as the panel has reviewed their materials and reached a decision as to whether or not an audition will be scheduled. |

Audition Update: Auditions will be held in NYC, late August. Singers will receive an audition appointment time by email notice approximately 1 week before the auditions.
