



Anna Noggle (Soprano) Now known for her electric stage presence and “powerful
rich voice” combined with the magic ability to bring characters to life, Anna Noggle is busy making a
name for herself as “an outstanding artist in every way” (Michael Capasso, Dicapo Opera Theatre).
Her portrayals of characters have been described as “sensitively drawn and heartachingly sung”
(Cape Cod Times) while her singing is “touching…consistent and affecting” (Opera News) and
exhibits “gloriously controlled high pianissimi and an exquisite tone” (The Handelmania Podcast).
As Charlie Handelman of the Handelmania Podcast stated, “We have to watch for her name in the
future!”
Adding to Ms. Noggle’s already illustrious list of performances, she begins the 2009 season as
Gilda in Rigoletto with the Dicapo Opera Theatre and finishes the year as Mimì in La Bohème with
Opera Manhattan Repertory Theatre. In February of 2010, Ms. Noggle starts off the year covering
the role of Donna Elvira in Virginia Opera’s production of Don Giovanni. More >
Maria Elena Armijo (Mezzo-Soprano) is a rising young performer whose
colorful, unique sound attracts many audiences. Her voice has been described as “beautiful, rich,
and powerful” and it has also been said commitment, honesty, and integrity on stage allow the
audience to be swept up into the life of the character she is portraying. Fans eagerly anticipate Ms.
Armijo’s performances and never fail to leave satisfied.
This season, Ms. Armijo performs in Emmeline with Dicapo Opera Theatre (September 10-13,
2009), at The Mezzo Television Opera Competition & Festival in Szeged, Hungary (November 15 &
16, 2009), as a Soloist with the Golden Key Music Institute in New York, NY (November 5, 2009), a
Soloist in the Christmas POPS Concert with Traverse Symphony Orchestra, Traverse City, MI
(December 12-13, 2009) and as Second Woman in Purcell's Dido and Aeneas with Opera Manhattan
Repertory Theatre (February 2010). More >
Bryce Smith (Bass-Baritone) became a D.C. favorite after singing a guest performance
as a National Scholar Alumnus with the Capitol Symphony Orchestra for the Horatio Alger Association of
Distinguished American’s 60th Anniversary Inaugural Dinner at Andrew Mellon Auditorium. He was
then asked to perform the national anthem at Susan G. Komen Foundation’s 18th & 19th annual
National Race for the Cure, the largest race/walk fundraising event in the world with over 50,000
participants on the National Mall.
This year, Smith will appear as both the title role in Don Giovanni and Escamillo in Carmen with Regina
Opera Company and Colline in La Bohème and as Bluebeard in Bluebeard’s Castle with Opera
Manhattan Repertory Theatre. He will then be the featured soloist with the Staten Island Symphony
for Beethoven’s famous 9th Symphony. More >
Rebecca Warren (Soprano) has been recognized for…“feel(ing) the music, offering

This Season, Ms. Warren covers the roles of Harriet Mosher & Ella Burling while performing in
Emmeline with Dicapo Opera Theatre (September 10-13, 2009) and at The Mezzo Television Opera
Competition & Festival in Szeged, Hungary (November 15 & 16, 2009). In November of 2010 Ms.

Stephen Lavonier (Baritone) is native to Oswego, NY. Known for his “good strong
voice” Mr. Lavonier makes “a distinctly positive impression” and does “fine work” in every role that
he performs.
For the 2009-2010 season, Mr. Lavonier will be performing at Dicapo Opera Theatre as Simon Fenton
in Tobias Picker's Emmeline, Marullo in Rigoletto, Mr. Fox in Picker’s The Fantastic Mr. Fox, as well as
the Father in Giannini’s Beauty and the Beast. In December 2009, Mr. Lavonier will be singing the role
of Marcello in Opera Manhattan Repertory Theatre’s upcoming production of La Bohème where he
previously sang the roles of Germont in La Traviata and Valentin in Faust. More >

Robert Hughes (Tenor) Like a breath of fresh air, this performer revitalizes the
classical scene as one of today’s brightest and most unique opera singers. Known for his strong
characterizations and sensitive interpretations of roles, Mr. Hughes enjoys a varied operatic
repertoire spanning from Rossini’s Count Almaviva (Il barbiere di Siviglia) to Rimsky-Korsakov’s Mozart
(Mozart and Salieri).
For the 2009-2010 Season, Mr. Hughes performs as Alfredo in La Traviata with Opera Manhattan
Repertory Theatre, Mozart in Mozart and Saliere with The Little Opera Theatre of New York, Ernesto
in Don Pasquale with Regina Opera Company, Ed in Strange Fruit in conjuction with The Harlem
School of the Arts and New York City Opera and Pronin in the World Premier of Inessa Varetsky's
new opera The Man in the Black Coat Mozart in Rimsky-Korsakov’s Mozart and Salieri, and Young Man
in Cesar Cui’s Feast In The Time of Plague with the Little Opera Theater of New York, and Ernesto in
Don Pasquale with Regina Opera Company and the Bronx Opera Company. More >

Ubaldo Feliciano-Hernandez (Tenor) is known for his show of “real fire”
vocally and dramatically as he soars through “historically troubling passages that have bested so
many…tenors.” Mr. Feliciano-Hernández operatic repertoire includes, Alfredo in La Traviata, Rinuccio
in Gianni Schicchi, Tamino in Die Zauberflöte, Il Duca di Mantua in Rigoletto, and Nemorino in L’Elixir d’
Amore, Romeo in Romeo et Juliette, Edgardo in Lucia di Lammermoor, Werther in Werther, Rodolfo in
La Boheme.
For the 2009-2010 Season, Mr. Feliciano-Hernandez performs as Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni with
Regina Opera Company, Nemorino in L'elisir d'amore with The Historical Society of Sharpsville
Pennsylvania, Raul Perez in Hotel Casablanca and Goro in Madama Butterfly (Brescia Version) with
Dicapo Opera Theatre. More >


Michael Callas (Baritone) is a "precociously powerful young singer," and has “a
strong, versatile voice”. This season at Dicapo Opera Theatre, Mr. Callas debuts as Monterone in
Rigoletto, Farmer Bean in Picker's Fantastic Mr. Fox, and The Bonze in Madama Butterfly. He also
returns to Weill Hall as the Comte Des Grieux in Massenet's Manon and Sparafucile in Rigoletto. With
the Opera Company of Brooklyn Mr. Callas will sing the title role in Le Nozze di Figaro and Ferrando in
Il Trovatore. Over the summer Mr. Callas takes to the stage with recitals in New York City of Italian
and English song and in Mexico performing a concert of arias.
Last season Mr. Callas made his Carnegie Hall debut as Lord Capulet in Romeo et Juliette, sang
Monterone in Rigoletto and Balthazar in Amahl and the Night Visitors with Tri-Cities Opera in
Binghamton, New York, and returned to the Opera Company of Brooklyn in Don Giovanni as

Alexis Cregger (Soprano) native of Winchester, MA, she has been singing since the age
of 12. Her endeavors at that age included singing with The Treble Chorus of New England where she
performed the roles of First Witch in Dido & Aeneas, and Mrs. Ford in Nicolai’s The Merry Wives of
Windsor. For her senior year in High School, she attended the internationally known Interlochen Arts
Academy where she participated in the Opera Workshop program, singing scenes from La Cenerentola
and Così fan Tutte. After Interlochen she came to the Eastman School of Music where she performed
the role of Bridesmaid in Le Nozze di Figaro.
Most recently she was seen as Countess Almaviva in Chelsea Opera’s production of Le Nozze di Figaro,
and Gianetta in The Blue Hill Troupe’s production of The Gondoliers. This season she will be performing
the title role of Anna Bolena with Opera Manhattan in a Concert Performance in August, and the
Soprano Soloist in Gounod’s Messe Solennelle, St. Cecilia with the Helena Symphony. She currently
resides in New York and studies with Mark Oswald. More >
