

Anna Yelizarova (Mezzo-Soprano) has appeared as
Dorabella in Cosi fan tutte with Bay Area Summer Opera and as
Olga in Eugine Onegin with the New York Opera Studio under the
direction of Nico and Carol Castel. She sang Marina in Boris
Godunov and Mistress Quickly in Falstaff with Amici Opera in
Philadelphia, and also La Zia Principessa in Suor Angelica with
Queens Opera. Last summer, Ms. Yelizarova appeared as Ulrica in
Un Ballo in Maschera with the Martina Arroyo Foundation, Prelude
to Performance; and earlier as the Second Woman in Dido and
Aeneas at the Intermezzo Opera Festival. She performed the
Mother in Amahl and the Night Visitors in the production sponsored
by New Jersey City University at the Symphony Space in
Manhattan. In October’09, Ms. Yelizarova will be singing Carmen
with Amici Opera. University performances have included Dido in
Dido and Aeneas, Zita in Gianni Schicchi, and Flora in La Traviata.
Anna Yelizarova has performed evenings of opera scenes with
Pacific Opera at Carnegie Hall, and with Queens Opera in New
Jersey. In oratorio, she sang the role Clarice in Caldara’s Il giuoco
del Quadriglio at the Mercantile Library in New York; and was a
mezzo-soprano soloist in the Pergolesi Stabat Mater on a concert
tour in Hungary.
Originally from Moscow, Russia, Anna Yelizarova now resides in the
United States, where she is proud to be an American citizen. She
holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in voice from the
Manhattan School of Music and New Jersey City University.
Ms. Yelizarova joins Opera Manhattan this season to sing the role of
Prince Orlofsky in Johann Strauss' Die Fledermaus.
